The Shroud of Turin is perhaps the most enigmatic and heavily studied relic in history. It is a burial linen 13 1/2 long and 31/2 wide with the image of a crucified man whose suffering and death is identical with the sufferings of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospels.

Dr. Stevenson was the spokesman and editor for the Shroud of Turin Research Project (STURP) a group of some 40 scientists who actually studied the Shroud in 1978. Later Dr. Stevenson authored several books on the subject. Verdict on the Shroud became an international best-seller and was translated into more than 13 languages.
